Well, Garrison survived his first round of vaccinations. Um, I actually think the shots hurt me more than they hurt him. He cried for a second while he was getting poked but as soon as I picked him up he was fine. That's when I got tears in my eyes! I am such a wimp. Then I proceeded to have a little mental freak out about autism. I don't even want to put my fear down on this blog because it scares me so much. And it's so weird because over the past few months I had this faith that everything was going to be okay with going with the normal vaccine schedule. That if Garrison was supposed to be healthy he would be, and if not, that's the way it was supposed to be too. I guess my fear just over took the faith at that moment. I hate it when that happens. Right now I'm feeling okay about it all...I just need a nap!
Speaking of naps, here's a picture of Garrison after the appt. Wiped out!
So our sweet boy weighs 12 lbs. 3 oz. and is 23 inches long. That's the 75 percentile for both. At his 2 week check up he was in the 50 percentile so he's definetly growing fast! The doctor checked his motor skills and said they are at the level of a 4 month old. Wow! We just knew he was advanced :) He's able to hold his head up steady, do a mini push up while on his tummy, and also able to bear the weight of his body on his chunky thighs. We've now decided to have the personal trainer work with him only 3 days a week since he is progessing so well. Haha. Just kidding!
After the appt. we ran into my friend, Kelley, and her cute little girl, Vivian, in the waiting room. Houston may be a huge city, but it's a small world sometimes. It was definetly nice to see a friendly face after the trauma just moments earlier. It always amazes me how God gives me just what I need when I need it.
We then proceeded to travel 2 floors down to go visit the beloved office of my OB, Dr. Cook, to show off Garrison. When I went a couple weeks ago for my check up the nurses gave me a hard time about not bringing him, so I promised I would stop by. And, I'm not gonna lie, I really miss not going there so often anymore! All the nurses and doctors thought he was so cute :) Too bad Dr. Cook was on a conference call and couldn't meet him. Oh wait, he already did!
Well, that nap is really calling my name.

You're so funny! Love the personal trainer comment. Glad you and Garrison survived the first round of shots.
Shots always seems to wear them out...I know their little cry just gets you in the gut! He is getting sooo big...it looks like that onesie is a little snug!
