Grateful

This past year has given me so many things to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving. Garrison definetly tops that list! All the joy and change he has brought to our lives has just enhanced every aspect. Even when I have to get up at 4 AM (ummm...this morning!) because the little man is awake, I still get excited to see him and spend time with him. I could go on and on but I'll spare you!
I am so grateful for all the wonderful blessings in my life...family, friends, our health, and all the love in our lives.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

.5

Today Garrison is 6 months old. Half a year, y'all!! I seriously don't know where the time has gone!

And what an incredible 6 months it's been. I am the happiest I've ever been in my life thanks to one special little boy. I think I can speak for Bryan and say that he feels exactly the same way. Seriously, this parenting stuff is awesome.

So here are some things he's up to these days...
*When he's on his belly he's got the whole 360 degree turn thing down
*He loves to jump, especially when people hold him. He hasn't gotten into jumping in the doorway jumper yet...I'm sure that's coming soon!
*He's doing this new thing where he's getting on his hands and toes...looks almost like he's gonna do push ups!
*He's also getting on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth...won't be long until he figures out how to crawl!
*He laughs like crazy when Bryan and I play with him
*He consistently sleeps 11 hours a night (THANK YOU GOD!)
*He's very social - doesn't mind being passed around and smiles at pretty much everyone
*When I hold him he turns himself around so he can see what's going on. I can just tell he wants to be moving around himself rather than someone carrying him.
*Oh! I almost forgot! He's eating solids! On Halloween he had his first rice cereal from a spoon (we have been putting some in his bottles at daycare to thicken his feeds for his reflux). He has caught on to this whole eating thing very well. Bryan and I aren't surprised ;) So far, he's had mashed bananas, applesauce, pears, and avocado. He sure loves his pears!

We love you sooooooo much Garrison! Happy 6 months!!

Well, I'm going to go enjoy my boy's half birthday today. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Oh, and I'm planning on posting an update on the seizures this week as well.

5 Month Pictures at the Pumpkin Patch

A couple weekends ago we went out to a "Pumpkin Patch" in Spring with our friends Alycia, Turner, his daughter Kira, my parents, and Jane and her husband, Aaron. I use the term pumpkin patch very loosely because basically there were 2 huge mounds of pumpkins and I'm pretty sure they weren't even grown there. There were lots of other fun things for kids to do and a hay ride so regardless, I definetly think we'll go back.

Anyways! Jane took some awesome pictures and I wanted to share them...

He made a pretty cute dinosaur, don't ya think?
I just love the face he's making in this one. He's quite expressive...I wonder where he gets that from!?
Checkin' out his Gigi...
He was talking to us in this one...
