It's Official!

We're having a baby BOY!!! Dr. Cook confirmed it today and we are so excited. Now all we have to do it figure out what we're gonna call him!

The doctor said everything looks great so we're feeling pretty good about things :) We go on January 20th to get the "big" ultrasound at the hospital. That's where an ultrasound tech will measure the baby and make sure things are coming along okay. We'll get some awesome pics from that visit!

I'll post the pic from today a little later...

Week 13 Ultrasound

So I wanted to get our last ultrasound pics up before we go tomorrow and get new ones. I think it will be awesome to see how much the baby has grown!
Today has been so nice...I took the day off and am LOVING not being at work. I can't say I have much to show for the day but relaxing was definetly the point! I'm going to run a few errand in a bit and make some YUMMY Pecan Snowball cookies this evening...so the day won't be a complete waste. I may even get a workout in! Haven't done that in a while. I could definetly get used to being a stay at home mom-to-be!

Week 16 belly shots!

Finally! Another belly shot posting! It has definetly grown A LOT since the last pics. I'm actually starting to look pregnant and not just chunky...YAY! It's just so cool to see my body totally change. Well, hopefully not totally, but you know what I mean :)

I went to Motherhood (a great maternity clothing store) last week and got some cute maternity clothes, so I'm feeling more attractive these days. It's hard to feel cute when your clothes aren't doing anything for you! I'm so grateful the current maternity styles are so cute...no tents for this lady!

We go back to the doctor on Tuesday and we are SO excited! This is the longest span of time we haven't gotten an update on our baby...4 whole weeks! We'll find out for sure what we're having and get to see how much the little one has grown. And by the looks of my stomach...it's a lot. I'll definetly post the new ultrasound pics.

Last night I went to a Christmas party a few of my friends hosted. It was so much fun! I love that several of the girls have little ones at home and offer so much support. It's awesome to be able to share this time with friends that have already been through it. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have them! My friend, Kathleen, even offered to take me to a lactation class once the baby is born. How great is that?!

On another note, this pregnancy is doing a number on my immune system. I read somewhere that a woman's immune system decreases during pregnancy so that it doesn't fight off the baby. I'm definetly noticing that I'm getting sick more. In the past month I've gotten a couple colds and yesterday I came down with a bad eye infection. Yuck! After a trip to the urgent care clinic at 2 in the morning I got some medicine and am feeling much better. It still looks like some one hit me in my eye, but it's definetly an improvement!

More to come next week!

A little flutter

Well, I think I felt the baby move! I actually felt a little flutter a couple weeks ago but forgot to mention it. Then it happened again last week. So amazing! A friend of mine told me it would feel like a little butterfly and it definetly did. I can't wait until I'm feeling him move around more. And I really can't wait until the day Bryan can feel it.

This whole pregnancy thing is such a blessing. Every week things are changing and growing. The books say the baby is now about 4 inches long and can move every joint in it's body. We just can't wait until our next visit (on the 23rd) to see the little guy again!!!

Other than that, I feel like I have nothing to wear. I'm in that in between stage where my clothes aren't really fitting, but most maternity clothes are too big. I have started wearing maternity pants, which are way more comfortable! I was blessed to receive a ton of maternity clothes from friends, but I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get some of my own too. I think I could use a little retail therapy as well :)
